The complete hotel journey, measured.

From the first search online to the final wave at departure, a hotel is judged on a thousand small moments. We score every one of them.

What we see

Where hotels leak money.

A hotel rarely fails in one dramatic place. It fails a pound at a time: the phone that rings four times, the ten-minute queue at check-in, the cold toast, the upsell never offered, the returning guest treated as a stranger. Reviews tell you three months later. By then the damage is priced into your rate and your occupancy.

EXCEED arrives unannounced and anonymous, and walks your property exactly as a guest does — booking, arrival, rooms, dining, spa, departure — while scoring what your own teams can no longer see because they see it every day.

What EXCEED offers

Rigour of the big firms. Independence of neither.

For five-star and luxury properties our assessors score the entire guest journey against a 1,000-point questionnaire across forty areas — the rigour of the global rating firms, applied with three differences that matter. First, we answer to you alone: not to a brand, a ratings list or a badge programme. Second, we score the journeys the classic checklists barely touch — the digital and pre-arrival journey, sustainability, accessibility and the treatment of returning guests — alongside every traditional department from the reservations call to butler service, turndown, afternoon tea and concierge. Third, the report is built to be acted on: scored, photographed, prioritised and debriefed in person, not a ninety-page tick-list.

From there, we write the standards your teams will actually live: department-by-department manuals, in-person training, and unannounced verification visits at three and six months — because standards decay at the speed of staff turnover, and embedding is a calendar, not an event. The full programme runs in three stages, each priced before we begin.

Experience you can borrow

Built inside great hotels.

Our directors’ careers were built inside properties where detail is the product — Gleneagles, The Belfry, Craigellachie and The White Elephant among them — across luxury service, guest arrival, front office and fine dining. We know what a world-class hotel feels like from both sides of the desk, and we know precisely how the feeling is manufactured: written down, trained in person, and checked when nobody is watching.
